Hashbang, Inc.

Privacy Policy

How Hashbang handles website information, analytics, cookie choices, and privacy requests.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Hashbang, Inc. ("Hashbang," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Hashbang corporate website at hashbanginc.com and its hashbanggames.com alias. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information through this website, business inquiries, beta-interest submissions, and related communications. Hashbang is responsible for that processing.

This is the website privacy notice. Our games can have player accounts, analytics, advertising, and purchases, and may be operated with other publishers or platforms. Those activities are separate from this website and are governed by the privacy notice provided for the particular game or platform. A cookie choice on this website does not change privacy settings in a game, an app store, or another service. If you cannot find a game's notice, contact us with the game name.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you submit: contact forms request your first and last name, email address, phone number, and message. Beta-interest forms request your name, email address, and selected gaming platforms. We also receive information you choose to include in emails or later correspondence.
  • Technical information: your browser and our hosting infrastructure exchange an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser/device information, and response/error information to deliver the site, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse. Our inquiry endpoint uses IP-based rate limiting.
  • Privacy choices: essential browser storage records your cookie choice, the notice version, and when the choice was made and expires.
  • Optional analytics: where configured and enabled by your choice, analytics measures visits and interactions using information such as page paths, referral source, browser/device characteristics, approximate location, and identifiers. See the cookie section for the current configuration and choices.

We receive information directly from you, from your browser, and from providers that deliver these functions. Please do not submit payment-card details, passwords, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive information in website forms. Required fields are marked; without them we may be unable to handle that submission.

3. How and why we use information

  • Deliver the website, respond to inquiries, assess project requests, and communicate about services you request.
  • Consider beta-interest requests and send related invitations, eligibility questions, or operational updates. Submitting interest does not guarantee access.
  • Protect the site, investigate suspected abuse, enforce our terms, and diagnose delivery or security problems.
  • Remember and honor your privacy choices and, when you allow it, understand website use through analytics.
  • Comply with applicable obligations, maintain necessary business records, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Sending an inquiry or requesting beta access is not consent to unrelated marketing. If we separately offer marketing subscriptions, we will provide the required choice and an unsubscribe method. Essential replies and service messages are separate from marketing.

5. When information is disclosed

Information is accessible to authorized personnel and service providers as needed for the relevant purpose. These include website hosting and security providers, email delivery and mailbox providers, and an analytics provider if analytics is enabled. For example, a submitted inquiry is processed by our server and sent to our team through the configured email service; it is not posted publicly. We do not publish your inquiry or provide it to another company for its independent marketing.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers; when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect people or rights, or investigate misuse; at your direction; or as part of a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate protections and notices.

This corporate website does not display targeted advertising or use advertising tracking pixels. We do not sell personal information collected through this website or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Those statements concern the website and do not substitute for a game's separate advertising disclosures.

6. Cookies, local storage, and analytics choices

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Local storage is a related technology that keeps information on your device. Our Cookie settings panel identifies which categories are available on this website. Essential storage remembers your privacy choice; optional analytics is off unless you affirmatively allow it. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from viewing the website or submitting an inquiry.

The first-party local-storage entry hashbang.cookie-choice stores your choice, notice version, and timestamps for up to 180 days. It does not contain your name, email, or browsing history and is not automatically sent in HTTP requests. It is invalidated after expiry or a material notice/configuration change. Your browser can remove it sooner; we will then ask again. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice may last only for the current visit.

Select Cookie settings in the footer to review or withdraw an optional choice. Closing the settings panel or continuing to browse is not consent. You can also clear or block storage in your browser; settings apply per browser/device and may differ between domains. If no analytics provider is active, the panel says so and accepting does not enable a tracker. Consent to the currently described technologies is not blanket permission for future vendors or purposes.

Our site loads its fonts, artwork, and gameplay videos directly, rather than loading embedded advertising or social-media widgets. Links to other websites are described below. Browser Do Not Track signals do not have a uniform industry interpretation; this website follows your explicit settings and does not use cross-site advertising tracking. Where applicable, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing; the website does not undertake those activities.

Google Analytics 4: when connected and you opt in, Google provides website audience measurement using first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies. We configure these cookies for up to 180 days without extending their lifetime on every visit. Google receives technical information necessary to process measurement, including your IP address and device/browser data. Our integration reports page views without URL query strings, fragments, form contents, or an account User-ID; advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. Provider-side retention settings also apply to data already sent, which is separate from cookie lifetime.

We block the Google tag entirely until analytics is accepted. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement through this integration and removes its accessible first-party analytics cookies; it does not automatically erase records already held by Google. You can request deletion through our privacy contact. If Global Privacy Control is enabled, we also keep optional analytics off on this browser. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites using its services. The settings panel indicates when the analytics connection is not active.

7. How long we keep information

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, security, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. Inquiry and correspondence records may be kept while a request or business relationship is active and afterwards where needed to document it or resolve a claim. Beta-interest information is kept while it remains relevant to the requested program or associated communications. Technical records are retained according to operational and security needs and provider settings; cookie-choice storage has the 180-day limit described above.

When deciding retention, we consider the information's sensitivity, the nature of the relationship, unresolved issues, applicable obligations, and whether the purpose can be met with less information. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal holds and routine backup deletion cycles. Contact us about a particular record or deletion request.

8. Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the processing, including access restrictions and technical measures to protect submissions and reduce automated abuse. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your own devices and email account secure and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Report suspected security or privacy incidents to info@hashbanginc.com; do not include passwords or exploit personal information to demonstrate an issue.

9. International visitors

Hashbang is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in countries where our service providers operate, whose privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Where a transfer is subject to legal restrictions, appropriate safeguards are required, such as an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to a particular transfer. Visiting this website does not waive your mandatory rights.

10. Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have the right to know about or access personal information, receive a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Some laws also provide a right to limit certain uses of sensitive information. These rights are subject to their legal scope and exceptions; listing them does not mean every law applies to every request.

Email info@hashbanginc.com with the subject "Privacy request" and describe your request and relationship with us. You may also write to Hashbang, Inc., 6424 W. Geronimo Rd, Golden Valley AZ 86412, United States. If your request concerns a game, include its title and relevant platform so we can identify the responsible service. Do not send a password or an identity document with the initial request.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority, and use it for that verification. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful extension or refusal. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. If we decline a request and an appeal right applies, reply with "Privacy appeal"; you may also contact the relevant regulator.

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act when it applies to the business and information at issue, as well as rights concerning certain direct-marketing disclosures under California law. The categories, sources, purposes, and recipients for this website are described above. EEA and UK residents may complain to their local supervisory authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Other residents may contact their state attorney general or applicable privacy regulator.

11. Children and younger visitors

The corporate website's business inquiry and beta-interest forms are intended for adults, not children under 18. Please do not submit information through these forms if you are under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required. Age ratings, parental permissions, and children's privacy practices for a game must be checked in that game's notice; this website notice is not a children's game privacy policy.

12. Other websites and applications

Our portfolio, social links, store links, and job applications may take you to independently operated services. When you follow a link, that provider receives information needed to deliver its page and may collect additional information under its own privacy policy. For example, job applications submitted through an external recruiting platform are processed there. We do not control those services. Review their notices before submitting information; the website cookie panel does not control them.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this notice when our website practices change and identify the new effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required, and we will seek fresh consent where a new purpose requires it. Changes do not retroactively authorize incompatible uses of previously collected information without the required legal basis or consent.
